Happy Earth Day ☯ Treat Mother Earth with Some Kindness

TWO BY SEA

Follow the Plastiki Expedition the brainchild of David de Rothschild,
His goal is to sail 12,000 nautical miles across the
Pacific Ocean from San Francisco to Sydney
in a boat made entirely out of plastic bottles
and recycled waste products.
They embarked in April, carrying (among others)
four scientists from the Scripps Research Institute
who will study ocean acidification,
marine debris, overfishing, and coral bleaching.

Did You Know?.. I use refuse in my Art! My act of green....

My act of GREEN is to use refuse in my artwork!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!!

LOVE THE EARTH!!!

A wonderful thing you can do for our earth is to recycle in your art works!
I found that an old vinyl record can be a great base for a painting.
It is fun and creates a beautiful ROUND painting!
Just a light coat of gel medium over top to smooth out the grooves
and a bit of putty to plug the hole and there you go.. a inexpensive
"canvas" for you to paint on!!

It is amazing to me, after doing a wee bit of research on ABSINTHE,
how it was hauntingly desired, not only years ago by many of the Masters,
but today by many celebrities and us ordinary folk.
I have yet to try the magical looking brew,
please comment on your Absinthe experience!!
I would love to hear it!!
Be sure to roll over photos for links to Super Absithe Sites!!!

"CHEERS" to St.Patricks's Day ****

A Snippet of James Joyce Poetry...

VIII
Who goes amid the green wood With springtide all adorning her?
Who goes amid the merry green wood To make it merrier?

Who passes in the sunlight By ways that know the light footfall?
Who passes in the sweet sunlight With mien so virginal?

The ways of all the woodland Gleam with a soft and golden fire --
-For whom does all the sunny woodland Carry so brave attire?

O, it is for my true love The woods their rich apparel wear --
-O, it is for my own true love,That is so young and fair.

May you have:A world of wishes at your command.
God and his angels close to hand.
Friends and family their love impart,
and Irish blessings in your heart!

HAPPY
