Beautiful Bouquet Bicycles and Childhood Memories...

This is such a pretty sight..they stop me in my tracks..
I have to take pictures of Bicycles and Flowers...
This is the start of my photo collection.
There is something so attractive .. maybe the peaceful
freedom and childhood memories of
picking flowers and riding a bike...
My Dad told me many times
how I used to pick flowers
as a child and sell them on my bike..

Feeling "Beachy"

I was feeling rather "Beachy"
and wanted to create a soft watery sculpted acrylic painting..
I started with the texture and added to that..
I also love rock stacks and wanted to incorporate them..
I love how they represent balance, strength yet fragility..

NEW Affordable Prints from my Original Wood Block Paintings - Nature Maidens Inspirational Prints

From an early age I was always drawn to the gentle mystique of Indian Folk Lore.
The Cardinal was always calling to me and I realized that he was my Totem,
my Spirit Guide.
The Maidens were created to pay homage to the strength of woman
and the spirits that lay within us all.
I embellish my prints with prismacolor pencils to highlight and pop out the colors.

Finished with a feather.....

Yellow Boat, White Boat, Navy Boat, Blue Boat..... What a Beautiful Time-Worn Patina....

I met an artist this spring who spent as
much time removing paint from her paintings
as she did applying it.
Her results were beautiful..
Something I had never really thought about doing.
