Frida Kahlo in Bamboo - Original Acrylic Painting

I love to paint on hardboard.. I like the way the paint moves for me.

I had a hankering to do some more Frida Paintings so I started with this one,

featuring her Monkey and a Fawn.

I soft sculpted a basic frame.

I love the colors it came together rather nicely.

i detailed a bit with some dimensional paints.

Sunrise... ☀☁☀ My Favorite Time of the Day!

A recent trip to Fort Myers Beach Florida made me just love these 

Terns with the shock of black feathers on their heads..

I wanted to do some more paintings using my Black ice technique and so came Sunrise..

My Favorite time of the day.

I also have a love for rock piles.

Ever since I saw Bird Girl on the cover of
"Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil"
I was enchanted by this sweet girl with the sad
face.. head tilted in silence.
I have been wanting to paint her for a long time
She is painted on a
textured back ground with fleur de lis
around the outsides.
Sage green highlights and midnight blue
undercoat give this a quiet presence.
