Auntumn Splendor - When everything comes together in a positive way....

When I went into my studio..

I sort of kind of knew what I wanted to do.....

I wanted some texture some autumn colors, trees, roots, swirls...

So I wung it..

I was so happy with the results!

This painting has such great texture..

the colors glow in different ways different times of the day.

It will be hard to give this one up..it looks great right where it is!

No Power.. Under the Tuscan Sun... Tuscan Inspiration...

Oakville Hydro cut the power for 3 hours...
Wanting to paint and having not much for inspiration,
I plugged one of my favorite movies in the old laptop..

The warm glowing colors and Tuscan Hillsides
were the perfect inspiration!!

I got right to business and came up with these
two soft sculpt, textured
acrylic paintings..
I love happy endings!!

I am lucky enough to have a lovely stand
of trees in my back yard..
Seeing the birds flit around is magical to me..
I was raised bird watching..
my father was a
naturalist and my brother a
honest to goodness Ornithologist for the
Canadian Wildlife Service.
It is thrilling to me to spend the day with
Al birdwatching..
we would drive the dirt roads of Saskatchewan,
tramp through the woods....looking listening..
I will bird watch for the rest of my life..
keeping track of the species.. dates.. places...
The birds of the world truly hold a
special spot in my heart!!
